Before taking your final decision about wall material profile you should understand that walls made of profiled log and timber in wooden house fulfill two basic task simultaneously: functional and esthetic.
It is rather easy to understand what functional task means. It can be estimated. As chain strength is determined by its weak link wall heat-protecting qualities is determined primarily by its soft spot not by the selected timber width.
